Weekend Rewind

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

We had a busy Friday night going to a baby shower for some friends, we had a good time. Driving home was a different story...I was having major problems staying awake! While we were in the area we got to hang out with Travis' friend Josh, who I haven't seen in a while. Kelsey loved him and his snakes! She kept asking him when we could go back and see the snakes again...silly girl!

After Friday night we have a very eventful weekend...

-We took Tonka to the vet Saturday morning.... he is a crazy boy! He is 20 weeks old and weighs 41.6 pounds! The vet said he is healthy and looks great and is ready to be neutered...

-Travis had his final exam for school and made an 84! He is done with his schooling now..FINALLY! If everything checks out he will take his licensing exam in July.

- Hayden's paci went bye bye on Saturday before nap time. I was expecting him to take it horribly, but I was very surprised when he only cried for a few minutes. Then Saturday night he cried a little more, but only woke up once and calmed down really fast. Last night he went right to bed and slept all night!! I am so glad it went well and he will be getting to make his paci bear in the next week or so!

-Kelsey lost her first tooth!!!  She has been wiggling and wiggling and on Saturday night she said to me I think it is about to fall out, well it was. Travis pretty much touched it and it came out. She freaked out for a few minutes, but then was so excited! The tooth fairy came and deposited $1 under her pillow. ( apparently our tooth fairy is cheap?)

- Sunday was Mother's day, I got to go back to bed, then was served breakfast in bed... I loved it! Since it was raining we just hung out around the house for a while watching TV and then headed to my cousins graduation party.

-Graduation party was fun! I love seeing all my extended family we don't get it see very often. It is crazy to be that all of us cousins are growing up, getting married, starting families...doesn't seem possible.

-After the party we headed to my parents house to celebrate their birthdays! My brother stopped and picked up some wings, and Travis and I got a pie for them. We had a good time just hanging out as a family. My brothers live about 40 minutes from us so we don't see them enough either.

Yes I know this looks dangerous... Travis was standing right next to Hayden!

I have to give a little story about the 108...no my parents aren't that old. Travis is a funny man and at Publix he didn't want to buy 4 candles so he decided to buy 3...and add my parents birthdays together... so 55+53=108 (in case you didn't know)

 Happy Birthday Dad!
My dad, Kelsey, & Hayden

I am on facebook personally and I am working on getting a blog page for my facebook so I can get that going also. I will keep everyone informed with that change also!

My weekend plans are consisting of:
-a baby shower tonight for our friends Chris and Megan--I can't believe baby stuff has changed so much in 2 year since Hayden was born.
-Tonka has a vet check-up tomorrow morning, this is his last one for booster shots!
-Travis has in last final ever tomorrow morning..so excited and proud of my hubby! Things are looking up :)
-Tomorrow afternoon/night: I need to do some flower planting/lawn mowing and dvr catch up
-My cousin is having a graduation party Sunday
-We are going to celebrate my parent's birthdays Sunday evening ( they are on the 14th & 15th)
- o yea...and it's Mother's Day!
The sad thing is this weekend is the first one in a few where we don't have plans every minute of both days... my bathrooms in my house need some attention asap.

What is everyone up to this weekend?

I have been signed up with a company called bzzagent for few years, and have taken part in a couple of programs with them, but I am trying to get more involved. I just signed up to do a campaign for Private Selections...from Kroger. I am pretty excited! They are sending me coupons to try some meat, some pies, and ice cream :) I will try to blog about it all very soon.

I will leave you with a picture from Muffins w/Mom this morning at the daycare...its also RED shirt Friday

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Happy Birthday Hayden!

His birthday was on Monday the 7th. We ended up having a little party for him at the lake on Sunday afternoon. It was a perfect day and the party turned out to be wonderful. We are so thankful for the friends and family that made it!

We went shopping on Friday night looking for b-day gifts for the little guy. When we were are our local Academy sports I saw they had marked down a few power wheels on clearance...we talked about getting one but I cringed at the $300+ price tag. They had 3 marked down for lower than $160. We still were unsure and passed and went home. Then on Saturday afternoon Travis went back to take another look at them. Well they marked them down again, and I took it as a sign. We got a jeep...originally about $375-399 dollars for $130! SCORE! Needless to say we had one VERY happy little boy.

When Travis brought it out to him, he just giggled and giggled and then just walked around it,sat in it, then examined very part of it. It was so funny to watch. He also got a lawnmower that blows bubbles when it is pushed...loves it also! The lawnmower has been going everywhere with us this week..in the car, in bed, on walks, to dinner...if you get my drift. He also got some awesome water guns and sand toys and some clothes and books.

I took Hayden to his 2 year old well check on Tuesday, we got good news...no shots!! The doctor also agreed with me and decided it was time to take him off of dairy milk and switch him to almond milk full time. Something in the milk doesn't sit well with his stomach, and since we went on it a year ago he constantly has a snotty nose and bad diapers on and off. We have been doing half milk half almond milk lately, but now we will see if the full almond milk helps to see if we need to rule anything else out.

but he weighs 29lbs and is 35 1/2 inches tall! He is growing like a weed and she said he looks wonderful :)

Here are a few pictures of his cake and jeep... I didn't get any pictures at all barely...bad mom!

Catch up with the Carrig's

I know I know...I have been a horrible blogger lately!

We have just been so busy these days with life in general. I am going to do a quick run down of the family and how everyone is doing... and there will be pictures :)

Travis and Brittany:
-We planted our first garden together this year... so excited. Everyday when I get home seeing my little plants growing makes me so excited. We planted about 30 corn plants and each seed we planted sprouted, that makes me very very happy. We also have cucumbers, squash, zucchini, all kinds of peppers, tomatoes, and strawberries. Here is our little garden earlier this week. Excuse the weeds and the timbers.... I rolled out the right side timber bc it was to close to my tomato plants, so now it looks really redneck :)

Kelsey:
-She has had a LOT going on these days. Her ballet recital was on Tuesday at her pre-k, way to cute! I love watching little kids dance. I decided when I was watching her that she is a natural and we are signing her up to continue dance next year.
- I go help out at a barn now on the weekends and Kelsey has gone with me a few times...now she thinks she gets to go every time. But last weekend she got to ride for a minute and seeing her that excited just made me want a horse now so I can start teaching her.

Hayden:
-He is going to be 2 in a few days! I am in total denial on my baby getting so big. He is such a little man these days.
- His speech is improving everyday and his little personality comes out a little more everyday. He is all boy all the time, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Tonka:
-He turned 4 months on the 23rd, and he living his puppy dreams. This dog can be so sneaky! He is def going to be a big boy! When I took him to the vet a few weeks ago he was 35lbs and I can say he has probably gained 10 more pounds since then.
-We were really blessed to be able to get him because he is a pretty boy---and he knows it to!

For now I think that is it.... Hopefully I will get some more blogging time soon! We have tons coming up in the next few weeks.

Take care Yall!

Picture Update :)

This is what we have been up to lately:

Hayden got a new haircut, and I say this every time but he looks so old now! His personality is coming out so much these days. When I am with him all I can do it laugh and I always tell people he cracks me up all the time :)

Hayden swinging

Last weekend we went down to the lake at a park by our house, and Hayden watched Travis skip a rock. He thought it would be fun to just throw them in. Most of the time they didn't even hit the water, but he loved it. Kelsey spent the time eating a snack on a big rock or digging in the dirt :)
Hanging out throwing rocks in the lake
So my puppy grew up over night. He is HUGE now. I can't imagine what he will look like in 2 more months. Tonka and Jinx get along great. As you can see below they like to cuddle together. Jinx has made herself right at home also, as soon as we get in bed at night she is right there laying on you.

Best Buddies

Tonka- 13 weeks!
Kelsey is ready for summer! She got in the car the other day and told me she needed to wear shorts to school because it was hot out and she didn't like sweating...such a girl! We are still waiting to hear if she got into the private school, we should know something in about a month. She is getting ready for her ballet recital at school!

Kelsey and Tonka
It seems like everyone is finally feeling better at our house!!!! The weather here has been wonderful the past 2 weeks or so. It is already so warm out that I am scared what summer is going to bring..or if we will get another cold snap. As I am writing this a thunder storm just rolled in...I hope it is gone quick!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Updates

I have been out of work a LOT the past week so I haven't had time to even think about blogging.

- Hayden has been a sick little boy.. started off as a stomach bug...fast forward a week..and yesterday after him throwing up all over me I took him to the doctor. He has a double ear infection... We were lucky enough to get in with the ENT the same day and he is scheduled to have tubes put in on Monday. I am so ready for him to feel better and not have to live on antibiotics.

- We got Kelsey's test scores back from her assessment. Her overall score is a 98 out of a possible 99! I am thrilled and so proud of her. She is such a smart little girl!

- Last week, since I was out with Hayden and then off on Friday (for Hayden and Kelsey was out of school) we headed down to spend the night with Travis at his dads. It was nice to spend some time with him :) The kids loved spending time with their grandparents.

Friday afternoon, I went to get a haircut and took Hayden with me...It was somewhat surreal for me to drive down the roads I used to drive everyday. It felt like I was dreaming. I don't know why I go over there all the time. I think it has finally hit me that we have moved on with our lives and grown up..

- I am on a puppy potty training war path! This little dog needs to figure it out now. I think I am getting annoying to him because I demand he goes outside every 20 mins when we are home. Hopefully something will click in his head really soon or I might go crazy.

I hope everyone is having a great week! The weather here in GA is crazy this year...its like 74 and sunny today!

Monday, February 13

Monday Funday!

I hope everyone is having fun on this wonderful Monday!

How was your weekend?

Ours was pretty uneventful. Winter has finally come to GA, it was pretty chilly this weekend. Then I was listening to the weather this morning and it said expect the high 60s later this week.. Ummm...Hello weather people, my sinuses need a break! We decided to keep 1 kitty. The others disappeared and we haven't seen them since, so we thought the least we could do was let the little one in.. We aren't sure if it is a boy or girl but Travis named it Jinx. I will be taking it to the vet in a few weeks to get it all checked out :) Tonka loves the cat, they play with each other and chase each other around the house. Jinx mastered the litter box in one day...I wish potty training Tonka was this easy.

Saturday afternoon, my sister in law came over for dinner. We had a good time, it was nice to spend time with my niece. She is a busy little girl :)  Then Travis and I watched Breaking Dawn pt 1. I saw it in theaters, but he didn't and I really had no problem watching it again.

Like I said our weekend didn't consist of much, but I love every minute that I get to spend with my family.

Does anyone have any big Valentine's day plans? not. us. Travis will be gone all week, so we will be celebrating this weekend along with our anniversary!

Monday, January 30

Introducing....Magnum!

Our new puppy!!

I went and picked him up on Saturday morning. He is so sweet and little. The kids love him so much already :) Naming him was a different story, the poor pup has had about 30 names since this weekend. We just couldn't decide on one and nothing seemed to fit him. I am still not 100% convinced that Magnum is going to be it, but so far we like it.

Some of the runner ups were: Tracker, Ace, Grizzly, Bear, Nitro, Winston, Levi, Jake...that's all I can think of right now. I catch myself just saying come here puppy. He is doing really well so far. We are crate training him and this morning was the first time he had to go in his crate and the door was shut. Poor guy was so sad! I am letting him sleep with us for now, until he starts jumping off the bed at least. He was used to being with his brothers and sisters so he likes to get really close to us. He wakes us up when he needs to go out by biting or licking you. I will take it for now, at least he is waking us up and not just peeing on the bed!

Happy Monday :)

Hilton Head 2011

Warning: Picture Overload at the bottom!

The week after Christmas my parents took us to Hilton Head for the week. They headed out Christmas Eve and we planned on leaving Monday morning, but left on Christmas night around 9 and arrived at 2am. My oldest brother, Brad and his son Koltyn rode with us and my other brother, Brett came up after work Tuesday evening.

We were so excited because this is the first vacation in about 3 years that we had been on. We stayed at the Marriott Surf Watch resort, it was such a nice place! They have an indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools that are heated. Along with hot tubs. We saw all the pools at least once and visited a few times a day. The kids loved them, and Hayden thought the hot tub was the coolest thing. He would act almost drunk like when he was in it, it was so funny. (I didn't let him stay in for more than about 5-10 mins each time)

We spent a lot of time down at the beach, it was really windy most of the week, which was good because my parents got Travis and my brother kites for Christmas, so they had time to fly them.

I had been told that a lot of people rode bikes around Hilton Head, so one day we rented bikes from the resort to take a ride. WOW! Our legs were burning! What a great way to work out though. Travis' bike had a trailer on it so he could pull Kelsey and my nephew, Koltyn. My bike had a child seat on the back for Hayden. We had a great time!

One day we headed to the Sea Pines area of Hilton Head to see the light house and sight see. It is a pretty neat place, we really enjoyed looking at the boats and seeing the light house. There was also a barn in the area and of course we had to stop by! The kids( and the adults) really enjoyed the petting zoo. My dad asked me why the horses looked so sad though...they were waiting to go on a trail ride and they did look miserable. He isn't used to seeing horses like that because he always saw the ones I rode, which def weren't that calm! Since I have been around lesson horses and trail horses, I wasn't surprised but I still felt bad for them. After the petting zoo/barn my parents headed back to the resort with Kelsey, Koltyn and my brother Brad, while myself, Travis, Hayden and my other brother Brett went to the south beach to look around. We stopped at Salty dog to get some shirts and some pictures!

Hilton Head is an interesting place, everything is set off the road and my dad told us that they try to take down the least amount of trees when building something. So unlike around here where you can see strip malls/ shopping centers from the road, you have to look really hard to see what it behind the trees there. It would take some getting used to if I lived there.

There were so many memories made on this trip! We were all ready to go back home at the end of the week, but I am so glad we got to go! I took over 300 pictures, so I won't post all of them, but as a warning there are going to be a lot!

Rocko Boy

(Let me start off my saying I treat my animals like my kids, so this might sound crazy to some people.)

"Rocko"

We decided very last minute to go out shopping on New Year's Day evening.  I can vividly remember walking back into the house to get something and seeing Rocko standing there, looking at me almost like "why are you leaving me here?" We had just come back from vacation the day before and he didn't understand why we were leaving again. I told him "See ya in little but, be good, love you buddy" and I walked out. Driving away I had this feeling inside me to turn around, I didn't tell Travis and now I wish that I had.
When we got home, everything was normal. I got out of the car and immediately noticed our front door was wide open. **We live in the woods, in a somewhat rural area, we used to leave our doors unlocked all the time, because no one really knows there are houses we ours is at** I had Travis go in first, just in case. Nothing was wrong all the bedroom doors were still shut, but Rocko was gone. He has gotten out before, but always comes right back. We had been gone about 2 hours at that point. So we called and called his name, and heard nothing.  I went to get the kids ready for bed and Travis went to look for him. He called less than 5 minutes later and he said "Rocko is no longer with us" I didn't process it. Travis likes to joke, so I thought this is a joke. I heard his truck pull up and was in Hayden's bedroom. I thought he is going to come in and I will hear Rocko right behind him. I heard the door open, I heard Travis and no Rocko. Then it hit me.

I came into the hallway and saw Travis' face and I knew, this was no joke. I literally fell to the ground. I felt like someone just took my legs out from underneath me. How could this happen? Why did this happen?

Travis found him on the median of the road that the property backs up to. In between our house and the road is a big church. The road is a pretty busy one and it is a long ways from our house. Whoever hit our pup, didn't stop or even slow down. It makes me sick to think about it...how could anyone be so cruel. I called my mom in hysterics and they came over right away. My dad confirmed that Rocko had passed away. It was my worst fear, and my fault. I was the last one out of the house. Why didn't I lock the door? Travis's dad came over to pick Rocko up and take him to a friends vet clinic to have him cremated for us. I am so thankful for that.

While we don't know why he left us in such a tragic way, Travis and I both and hanging on to that this happened for a reason. We don't know the reason and we probably won't ever know it but God has a plan.

I miss him every single day. It is getting easier to a point. The first few nights were really bad. I would lay in bed a swear I would hear his collar jingle. I would think he is going to walk up any minute and life will go back to normal. The hardest part is hearing Kelsey say I miss Rocko or Hayden walking around asking us Where doggie? It breaks my heart.

Rocko was my dog, he loved me more than I could have ever loved him. He slept on me, he protected me and he knew when I needed him close to me. I couldn't leave a room or even walk across one without him following me. One day I hope to see him again. ( I fully believe all dogs go to Heaven) I know it he watching over me and my family and will protect us from a far. I love you Rocko- boy and we miss you more than you would ever believe.

2012

I haven't posted in forever! I have still been reading all the blogs I follow, and I think wow they write about such good things. I feel like I don't have anything to blog about or my blog doesn't serve a purpose. I am in 2012 going to try to post more.

I need ideas on what I should blog about?? Just life?

I also need help with my design....someone please help me!! I want something fun, cute and southern looking. If anyone can think of a better name I am open to all suggestions.

So as an update on everything! We are all doing good so far this year. We went on vacation after Christmas to Hilton Head, and it was our first full family vacation. SO. MUCH. FUN. We came home NYE and picked up our doggie, little did we know our world was about to change. We lost our beloved Rocko on New Year's day. I want to write a post about what happened because he deserves that much. I have to work on it in sections, because losing him is still so raw. If you are a new reader...Rocko was our fun loving dog.

The kids are getting so big and growing way to fast. Kelsey is loving pre-k and turning into a little women more and more everyday. Hayden has went from a baby to a little boy overnight. I can't believe it. He has changed so much over the past few months. I just had a patient come in my office and she said "Hey Brittany!, Last time I saw you, you were pregnant!" That just proves how fast life has moved and last time she saw me was 2 years ago, when I was pregnant with Hayden....I can't process that he is going to be 2 very soon.

I am going to end this post with a few vacation pictures. I plan to do a full post on Hilton Head.

Family Picture!

This was taken at Kelsey's 5th Birthday party
(We don't normally walk around with our faces painted.)

There will be more pictures of her party coming soon :)

What a week

and it is only Tuesday!

My week has already been crazy. This weekend was pretty busy though. It was Travis birthday and we had our first date night in over a year without the kids! I was one happy girl :) We got given tickets to the braves game, so it was a first for both of us going to the game and we had so much fun just being together. It was def. needed. Then Sunday, being the awesome wife that I am I planned a semi- surprise party for Travis. It was just family over but we had homemade sandwich ring and homemade Oreo ice cream cake :)

Zeus got a new home :( I was so sad. Our landlord advised us to keep looking for a home for him, so I took that as get him a home quick! I don't want to jeopardize were I am living. I believe I found a great home and he is going to be so happy!

Sunday night Hayden started feeling pretty crummy, so yesterday it was off to the doctor we went and they told us he has a double ear infection...he was one crabby man this morning. I hope he starts feeling better soon.

Then last night I am sitting on the couch and I got this awful electrical current type feeling in my tooth, I started freaking out because this hasn't ever happened before. I have self-diagnosed myself and decided that one of the wisdom teeth have hit a nerve in my mouth, so about every 20 mins or so I get this lovely feeling. I was seeing stars last night and crying in bed until my wonderful husband gave me some pain medicine. I was our within 30 minutes or so and had no pain until I woke up this morning. I am making an appointment with the dentist to get these lovely teeth out asap! I don't want to pay the money for them but I guess for my sanity and my husbands sleep I need to.

Well that is my weekend/week so far. I will be back in a little while to get some ideas from yall!

Working Mommy

I am having a really hard time with work right now. I like my job, not love because this isn't where I see myself in 5 years or even 1 year. I want to go back to school, but I am waiting for Travis to finish his schooling so we can be more financially stable. Right now I feel stuck, I can't quit because we need the little bit of money I bring home, but it is worth it to be this unhappy?

I take my kids to daycare at 6:15 every morning and some days I can pick them up by 3:45 others it is closer to 5:30. We pay out the butt for daycare...which I bet a lot of people do. When I sit down and think about how much I am paying vs how much I make it doesn't make sense to me why I am still working.  I feel like I am missing such a big part of Kelsey and Hayden growing up...

I am trying to find  job working part time or in the afternoons so I can be with them during the day. I am just so torn on what to do...I just can't shake this feeling!

Friday, February 18

These past few weeks have just flown by for me. The day to day feels like it takes forever but the weeks are just flying by.

-I can't believe that February is more than half-way over.
- Hayden is almost 10 months old....wow. I will have a 1 year old so soon and I am not ready!
-Kelsey will be 5 in September, where did my baby girl go? She starts pre-k next year and she is so big!
-We are celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary on Monday! Some people didn't think we would make it 2 months ;)

In the last 2 weeks Hayden has starting crawling, standing up and doing so much more. My sweet little baby boy has turned into a terror. He is still such a sweet boy, but he is ALL boy! I put him down and he is gone...down the hall, in the bathroom, or even out the front door. He thinks that everything he can reach needs to be used to pull himself up. Yesterday I caught him trying to stand up on his own in the middle of the floor. Our poor dog runs from him because Hayden thinks it is funny to tackle him. He will also launch himself on Kelsey if she is playing on the floor with him. He is also a moose, not really but a chunky man right.

At his 9 month check up last week he weighed in at 20lbs 13 oz and 30 inches long. Kelsey is 4 1/2 and weighs 34lbs and is 41 inches. If it tells you anything Hayden at 9 months is where Kelsey was at 12 months! The difference between girls and boys is amazing. I remember Kelsey babbling so much...she still does! Hayden is a man of few words, but when he starts it lasts a while.

Mother nature has been giving us some beautiful weather the past week or so and this weekend it is supposed to be in the 70's!!! I am worried either it is going to get cold again or it will be 100+ in May again like last year. We are enjoying this weather though!

Here are some new pictures! Sorry about the bad resolution they are from my phone.

This is his new trick!

The husband and Kelsey,he normally doesn't look like this--please excuse him!

Christmas 2010!

Our Christmas was a great one this year! Once we got past all the family drama and focused on what Christmas is really about and spending time with our little family it ended up being a awesome weekend.

I got off early on Thursday, so I finished up my shopping and we just hung around the house. Friday morning I got up to go grocery shopping then Kelsey helped me bake a bunch of stuff. We had fun :). Friday night we went to my parents house for our annual dinner and present exchange. I gave Travis one of his presents then, it was Frisbees for Frisbee gold. He loved it and was totally surprised.

We had a white Christmas!! I love snow probably because we don't get it very much in Georgia or just because it is pretty. It was so nice to watch it snow all day and make everything so pretty.

This was after about 2 hours of snow....

Kelsey was a present opening freak this year. She was so excited and just ripped through every present as fast as she could. I have been told I did this also. We got her the Leapster 2 and I had to pry it out of her hands for her to eat dinner on Saturday then we had to hide it when bedtime came around. CRAZY! She got a big girl bike from Santa, and we took her out to ride it and her response was it is way to cold and my butt hurts... from the seat. I think when it warms up she will be all over it.

Travis got me my Pandora bracelet that I have been wanting for a year or so. I am so excited and so happy that he got it for me. I also got a Target gift card, I want a pair of boots and he didn't want to get the wrong ones, and a toaster oven. I got Travis his Frisbees, a coin jar that counts his money- he has wanted it forever, and a waffle maker-along with waffle mix and syrup. The 2 things Travis kept asking me for were over 100 each and we just couldn't swing it this year...our anniversary is in February so I plan on getting them for him for that.

Yesterday we went my my grandmothers---my mom's mom and had our big family Christmas there. We do a white elephant gift exchange there it is always a lot of fun. I have wanted though antlers and nose for my car for a few years and got them! Travis ended up with chocolate and a I Tunes gift card, he didn't even know what iTunes was so my cousin who really wanted it so he gave it to her...aw what a sweet guy!

We stayed later at my grandmas to visit with some out of town aunts, uncles and cousins we don't see much and got home around 9...both kids were asleep and we quickly followed. I didn't want to get up for work this morning at all!

Weekend Update!

This weekend just flew by!

Friday night I had an open house type party for Partylite Candles, Pampered Chef and Mary Kay..I worked so hard to get my house clean and decorated so it just looked perfect and the only people that showed up were my mom and my best friend, who have both seem my house everything in a disaster. The good side is that my show ended being a 380 show!!  So after the party "ended" my best friend and I joined our husbands out at the fire pit for some warmth and marshmallows! I need to take pictures of these marshmallows they are HUGE!

Travis has school on Sat. mornings, so I spent the morning being SOOO lazy. I did some laundry, straightened up and caught up on the DVR from the week. Then that afternoon the hospital I work at had there big Christmas tree lighting. It is a big huge FREE festival that we go to every year. They have food, Santa, face painting, balloon animals, a petting zoo and local entertainment. The only bad thing is it was rainy and cold and I was by  myself with both kids. Travis was fixing my cousins car that broke down..such a nice guy. After the tree was lit and we got back to the car, we met Travis for our weekly dinner at Moe's. At the one by us they have $1 chicken tacos every sat, with no limit!! We love it! Then we got our redbox movies: Eclipse and Grown Ups and headed home.

Sunday I had plans to take Kelsey to a horse rescue by us that was having their annual Christmas shindig. Since it was so cold out we opted to take Hayden to my moms so we could take Kelsey. She LOVED it! She is always talking about horses and riding....I don't know where she gets it from??? ha ha ya I do! The problem is every time we get around them she wants nothing to do with them. So, finally I got my wish....she found a miniature pony that according to her was just her size and was petting and loving on him like crazy. I kept looking and Travis and he was just smiling because I dream of the day when I can ride with her. She didn't want to leave the barn but since it was so cold we couldn't stay as long as she wanted. We got lunch, picked up the boy and went home to be lazy and get warm.

So, that was a long update, and as I was writing it I thought to myself I really need to start taking more pictures of things we do. I think it would make these posts much more interesting. I will leave you with a new picture of the little ones from last night.

Stress

Why do we as "adults" stress over everything? I just don't get it. If I am not stressed about money, then it is the kids or the dog or the house or cars. It is always something! I have decided that I can't live without some kind of stress in my life. It just will not happen. If there is ever a day that I can...I will be so freakin happy.

I have learned that stress hurts my marriage ....I hate fighting but I keep all my emotions/ problems all balled up and when I get upset, get ready because I am about to explode. I feel bad for Travis because this has happened more that I would like recently.

I know I have to put everything into God's hands and let him be in control, but o goodness that is so hard! I am getting better knowing he will provide and everything happens because he wants it to. I just wish I knew why things happened the way they do...but I think that is his secret, and we will find out one day.

I am going home tonight and I am going to attempt to not stress about anything. I find it really funny. I am having a party at my house tomorrow night and all I have done is set out my candles...since I am selling them. I am going to be determined though. I will let yall know how it goes.

Introduction Time...

I am not sure if people just jump into this blogging thing or if they start my introducing themselves... I did a quick intro earlier to get started, and I wanted to go ahead and introduce the rest of the family so my readers (if I even have any) know who I am rambling about.

Let's start with my other half, Travis. We met when I was still in highschool, who would have ever guessed that one morning at the horse barn with some playful flirting would have lead to us being married with 2 kids...not me! I am glad it did, but it wasn't expected at all.

Next is Kelsey, she is our 3 almost 4 year old daughter. She is so stinking smart it is unreal. I laugh everyday at the things she says, and she makes life so more fun! I don't where I would be or what life would be like without her in it. She keeps me on my toes and reminds me all the time with the things she does or says to relax and enjoy life...no need to stress over everything.

Our newest addition is Hayden...I can't believe he is almost 4 months old! He was born 5-7-2010. I kept thinking during the early day of my pregnany that I wanted another girl just because I had one. I soon found out I was so wrong. I can't imagine life without my little man! He really completes our family in everyway possible. He is getting to the age where he smiles and laughs all the time and we love it. I love to see Kelsey play and interact with him, he just loves his big sister!

Our last but not least family member is Rocko- our hound/shephard mix. We adopted him when he was 12 weeks old in March 2009. He is the best dog in the world. I always say we are so lucky because he is not even 2 and acts like he is 12. He is so patient with Kelsey and all the crazy things she does to him...and I mean crazy!

Now I will bore you with pictures so you can put names to faces.
Daddy and Kelsey with her 1st fish!
