Kindergarten :)

We have made it through Kelsey's first week and a half of school! She seems to really be having a great time. She is exhausted though in the afternoons so bed time comes really early. It is good for mommy though...I get a little down time after the kids go to bed. I thought I would have a huge problem getting up in the mornings to get Kelsey, Hayden and myself out the door and have to actually worry about what she looks like. I have found as long as I do as much as I can the night before the mornings go very smoothly. It is so funny to pick Hayden up from daycare and hear him say "lets so get Kelsey, some days my mom drops her off at home, some days I pick her up from my parents house. It all depends on my work schedule.

I am still here!!

I have just been SO busy the last couple of weeks, months. Kelsey starts school next week, so we have been consummed doing all things related to school. Last weekend we all spent Saturday and Sunday at the barn, so that left a limited amount of time for laundry and house cleaning. Work has been crazy busy the past couple of months...we finally got some more providers to treat patients so things are starting to level out.

I have a million pictures to share with everyone and hopefully soon I can start getting them all on here. I want to do a summer post of everything we did, but that might take until Christmas the rate I am going.

Tonight Travis and I are headed to school for a new parent social...shall be very interesting...just like the kids pool party yesterday afternoon.

Hopefully I will be back soon, but until then I hope everyone is doing ok!

London 2012

Is anyone as excited as I am for the Oympics to start tonight??

I cant wait!

I wish they would come back to the states and more specifically Georgia. I was pretty young during the Atlanta Olympics, but I remember them. I just wish I could have appreciated them more.

So what is your favorite event?

Mine is the equestrian ( DUH)... my other favorites are gymnastics and I like the diving. I am sad that equestrian isn't one of the sports that gets any prime time coverage, but I have downloaded the NBC Olympic app and I am ready!!

Wordless Wednesday

Holiday Week

I have so much to update yall on, the problem is I don't even know where to start.

In my last post I said we were going to be house sitting for a week and with the holiday and work and just being busy I haven't had time to write a meaningful post.

House/dog sitting was fun! It was nice to get away from our house for a few days and we treated it like a mini vacation. I got to spend some much needed time with my best friend, we went to the lake, went swimming, got a new hair do and just relaxed.

We went out with our friends on their cabin cruiser to watch fireworks on the lake for the 4th. It was a lot of fun, fireworks on the lake is def something everyone needs to see. The kids loved being in the water and swimming.

I cut all my hair off... well not all of it but like 5 inches. Then I put red and blonde highlights in it. I really like it and I needed a change. Travis wasn't sure at first but now when he sees me he walks around saying hey sexy hair...I guess that is a good thing, right? Kelsey and Hayden both got a haircut also, 3 for the price of 1!

The kids and I spent a day with my best friend also. We took the kids to Catch Air, wow I thought the kids would LOVE it....well they did and Sarah and I both got a work out. We went to lunch at Chick-fl-a and while we were eating we had a spur of the moment idea to go visit the cupcake shop we did our class at. I had been trying to talk Travis into going there but it was a big fail...so we went! Still good :)

Hayden and I had to come home on Wednesday afternoon to get ready for work on Thursday, I worked 2 days then headed back to be with Travis and Kelsey for the weekend and finish house sitting. We came home on Sunday afternoon to catch up on laundry and get the house back together. It was a great week, but we are so glad to be home :)

Mini Vacation

Travis is house sitting starting Friday for 10 days... and since I am off after tomorrow until next Thursday we thought it would be fun to take a little "vacation".  He is house sitting at a friends house that is in his dads neighborhood...so it is where we used to hang out all the time. We don't all go down there much anymore just because we are always so busy with life around our house. I am pretty excited to spend a few days on my old stomping grounds! My best friend lives close to there and I def. plan on hanging out with her :). So I will leave tomorrow after work and come home sometime Wednesday afternoon. Travis and Kelsey will stay down until the next weekend. I plan to spend a lot of time around a pool and just hanging out with my kiddos. I don't think I will have a lot or any time to blog but I will be back with a update on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

I went and rode Lacey earlier this week and I am pretty certain she is going to be coming to the barn in a few weeks :) The owners are more than open to letting me keep her for a few months to make sure she is a good fit for me and what I want.... it makes me so happy/thankful that there are still such honest good people in this world. I think Travis can see how excited I am about all of this, he told me last night to start saving my money and he would try his best to match what I save so I can buy new things for her :) I am using my mother in laws old saddle, which is wonderful and works just fine, I just want to have my own one day! She will come with her leather halter-with her name ingraved on it and a winter blanket.

We have been going to the lake every night this past week to swim. I love it that my kids LOVE the water. Tonka is also such a water dog. Travis has  a little jon boat and Hayden is OBESSED with it so we took it out one night and he was smiling so big the whole time. Now when we talk about swimming he runs and gets his life jacket. Travis can't even walk outside without Hayden thinking they are going to "daddys boat"...cracks me up.

Since Kelsey has been spending so much time away it seems like she is so grown up :( She came home last night just acts older. I still can't believe she is starting kindergarten in a few weeks..AHHH. Where has the time gone??
